Vollrath 6414070 Jacob's Pride 14" Heavy-Duty Solid Basting Spoon with Green Ergo Grip Handle

The spoon is great and does what it is supposed to. I wish it was longer but it's advertised as being 14", so measure carefully. The grip feels nice and makes it easy to stir for a long time without tiring.

The heat proof handle, combined with the sturdy construction of this spoon serves me well as my main wok weapon for stir frying and sauteing. My days of bamboo are way behind me!

We use these all day in the kitchen, and the handle never gets hot or uncomfortable. We have left them on pans countless times, and the plastic never melts. Perfect size for cooking or serving.

I'm posting some pictures. The thing I really like about this is that it has a notch to rest it on the edge of a pan (see the picture of it from the side). I give it 4 stars because I'm not sure how far the metal goes down into the handle. I broke a similar one (but not the same) the other day scooping some frozen ice cream with it. It broke right where the metal meets the handle and the metal ended right there. This is great for actually basting, or dipping. Just not something heavy or with a lot of resistance.

This is a great quality basting spoon. It can hold a lot of weight and will not bend, even if forced. It is dishwasher safe and will not rust. The handle prevents any soreness to your hands if used for long periods of time.

Great heavy duty spoon, we cook 30-50 pounds of bacon lardons at one time and were having trouble stirring with a standard spoon, this one does the job much better and was very affordable.

This is not a beautiful spoon, but it is great in the kitchen. I use it mostly for serving and it holds more than it looks like it should. Is very solidly built and the lip on the handle makes it easy to prop on the edge of the pan.

We beat the heck out of this spoon. We did in the caramel and heavy ingredients with this spoon and NO bending. Well worth the price

I'm very satisfied with the functionality of these spoons. The edge of the spoon is not too sharp, and although the metal is thin the spoon is very stiff and sturdy due to the pressed design. The handle is comfortable and the hook on the back is handy (it can even hang vertically on the edge of an empty Vollrath Intrigue stock pot).

Outstanding! This is a VERY heavy-duty spoon with an excellent, ergonomically-pleasing feel. Its size and heft exude quality, and the warranty is unbeatable. The edges are nicely-finished, and the contours make them very well suited for kitchen prep, or as serving spoons on the buffet line. I'll be buying a few more of these for my outdoor cooking adventures as well.

This is a good spoon because it has a good handle that won't burn your hand. So many spoons have the metal handles that burn your hand when you touch it.

This spoon is great to have for a buffet. The plastic handle has the perfect grip and is very comfortable. Its a must have for employee meal.

this is a very nice big spoon. really like the coating on the handle it helps keep the handle of the spoon cool. easy to use and easy to clean.

This spoon is built to last and works nicely for basting large roasts in the oven as you cook them! You will easily produce a juicy roast every time!!!

These are nice to use for catering events. you dont want to just have plain metal serving utensils! the colors deffinetly brighten things up. great buy!
