The Vollrath Jacob's Pride 4791640 16" long red coated handle VersaGrip tong is easy-to-clean thanks to its one-piece construction. It's constructed from durable 20-gauge stainless steel, with plastic coated handles that are heat-resistant up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. The stainless steel end of the tong is heat-resistant up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

The bold, red plastic coating also designates this tong should be used with raw meat to reduce the risk of cross-contamination during the cooking process. Assigning particular colors for a specific application will help implement an HACCP system in your kitchen to prevent foodborne illnesses by creating a safe and organized work environment. Plus, Agion antimicrobial technology is built into the handles to reduce microbial growth.

    The Vollrath 4791640 Jacob's Pride 16" Stainless Steel VersaGrip Tong with Red Coated Kool-Touch Handle is very long and is perfect for steering clear of the heat of my deep BBQ grill. The rubber coated handle is definitely a much needed feature to keep the tong from burning the griller's hands The tong opening is wide by default, making it easy to grab big cuts of meat. Made of heavy-duty steel, it is much thicker than typical ones seen at the local supermarkets. Great product by Vollrath.
