These used to be much nicer. It's clear they're being made in a new factory without much quality control. They are still lovely, but I had 4 problems right out of the box. Scratched lids, dents, defective coating on lid holders and one unit was completely missing a lid! My second bad experience with Vollrath products this year, after 30 years of offering some of the best quality FS products in America. Webstaurant is going to solve these problems for me, but these will be my last purchase from the Vollrath company.

This chafer is simply exquisite. It has an elegance and simplicity that combine to make a stunning serving piece. The very highly mirrored surface contributes to this piece's pleasing appearance. Being able to store yet display the lift off lid is an added plus. I was concerned that with such a highly polished finish the pieces I ordered would be dinged or scratched, but they arrived without a flaw. This item is definitely a homerun. You won't be dissatisfied with this lovely chafer.
