What makes the polyethylene plastic material unique?
Polyethylene is white and has no visibility, with average stain resistance and the least durability/rigidity compared to other materials. It has a temperature range of -40 to 160 degrees, and is safe for use in the freezer. However, it is not recommended for use in the microwave. It is safe for cleaning in the dishwasher and is both BPA-free and meets NSF standards. Polyethylene ranks at a low price point. These specifications are based on standard use of products, extreme conditions could alter product quality over time. Though temperature range is representative of microwave and freezer use, it is not recommended for certain materials and may cause products to deform or break.
Will compatible lids and food storage containers create an air tight seal when used together?

Great quality product! I use this to mix my ice cream bases and other large quantity batters and it is very sturdy and doesn't bend at all. Very easy to wash and clean, I highly recommend!
