Victorinox 7.8715 Handheld Knife Sharpener

I had no idea my steak knives were as dull as they were until I used this sharpener on them. It took me a good five or six goes to get them refreshed, but they legitimately do cut like a hot knife through butter now. Just remember not to use the sharpener on the knives and go right to cutting food with them - give them a quick wash to get rid of any tiny metal shavings left behind. This is a super easy-to-use sharpener and I’m looking forward to using it on the rest of my knives as needed!

We purchased this for a church kitchen where we are not professionals, but still need sharp knives to be safe. This sharpener does the trick, quickly sharpening dull blades. It is important to note this is a sharpener, it does remove metal from the knife edge.

Purchased this item on a whim to see if we could off set the cost of expensive knife sharping companies. This did the trick it has paid for itself in the first 2 months.

I give this product 4 stars due to one of the usual reviewing caveats - for the price, it's great and will be perfect for most people but you still get what you pay for. If you need to maintain a large kitchen, active kitchen, it's worth it to go with a more expensive sharpener but for most people this little gadget does the job well.

i really never liked the idea of all these hand sharpeners and the little plastic jobs that came out but at this low price thought id give it a try and boy was i wrong works good helps keep them sharp
