Nordic Waffles founder Stine Aasland, who was born and raised in Norway, dreamed of turning waffles into a handheld experience. She started by offering handheld waffle sandwiches and treats in her convenience store and the operation slowly grew to become one of the largest waffle companies in Norway, earning the title "Waffle Queen" along the way. In 2016, she traveled to Minneapolis, MN to launch a new venture, bringing her waffle concept to coffee shops, convenience stores, and menus across the United States.
