It works just fine until you drop it. I have bought too many of these timers to count. The magnets are not strong enough to hold to some stainless surfaces. Pushing the start or stop button causes one side of the magnets to release and then the timer falls off the surface. One drop and the internal speaker is broken.

Great version of an essential tool! We use a lot of these at our coffee shop, for making drinks and baking pastries. They've help up well to lots of uses and the beep is plenty loud enough. I love the separate reset button, so you don't have to push 2 buttons at the same times.
We have these all over the kitchen. They are inexpensive enough to have them located everywhere you need them. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because if you want to use the magnets, you need to remove the combo clip/kickstand and there is not way to store that piece on the timer while still using the magnets. In other words, if you want to keep the clip/kickstand in the future, you need to try to not lose it. Otherwise, it's a great inexpensive timer.
