Quickly and easily prepare your signature steamed dishes with this Groen GSSP-BL-5E SmartSteam Pro stainless steel boilerless electric steamer! This unit can hold (5) 12" x 20" x 2 1/2" hotel pans. For rapid and consistent cooking results, the steamer boasts 2.4 kW of electric power input per 2 1/2" deep steam pan as well as a heat-up time of 15 minutes or less. With a boilerless design, this unit can be used to steam a variety of foods from vegetable sides to seafood entrees. The compartment comes with a 2.5 gallon high-efficiency, electric-heated, atmospheric steam generating reservoir, which provides steam to the unit at a temperature of up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit and quickly prepares the unit for use. Powerful, side-mounted blowers ensure that steam is quickly distributed throughout the compartment and between loaded pans, steaming your meals thoroughly and reliably. For instant steam between loads, the cavity maintains warmth and readiness.

This unit was built with safety and sanitation in mind. The door has a hidden switch that shuts off the generator and compartment blower when the door is opened, protecting your staff from hot steam when checking on or retrieving pans of food. The electric heating elements in this unit are not immersed in water for enhanced safety, and the elements are replaceable from the rear. A built-in water sensor detects when the water levels are low. For easy cleaning, this model has a removable steam lid and a programmable delime feature that delimes the compartments at the push of a button. It also includes removable, stainless steel support racks and a condensation collection tray for added efficiency when maintaining and sanitizing the unit.

With a durable stainless steel construction with removable non-louvered side panels, this unit is sure to hold up in a commercial kitchen. The cavity interior boasts polished stainless steel with a mirror finish, ensuring a professional appearance. This unit requires a 208V electrical connection for operation. It ships 3 phase, and it is field convertible to 1 phase operation. Plus, the unit comes with a 1 1/2" O.D. free venting drain and connection and each cavity has (2) 3/4" NH cold water supply lines.
