Install a safe and reliable water distribution system with this SharkBite Max™ compression straight stop. Made with a DZR brass body that prevents corrosion and cracking, this fitting is perfect for use in commercial and residential plumbing when installing potable water or radiant heating systems above or underground, as well as behind walls. This straight stop can be used on stub outs to quickly and easily control water shut off. It's compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE SDR-9 tubing, and it fits 3/8" and 1/2" pipes. The quarter-turn full port brass ball valve provides simple control of the supply line. Plus, this fitting can be installed on wet lines, pressure tested immediately, and even rotated after installation.
Simple to install with no special tools or materials needed, this straight stop is ideal for use in tight spaces and utilizes a unique push-to-connect design. The 316 stainless steel grab ring features stainless steel teeth that bite onto the pipe for a leak-free connection, while the EPDM rubber O-ring protector compresses around and aligns the pipe for a watertight seal. Not to mention, the 304 stainless steel retainer securely locks in the release collar to provide additional durability. This straight stop has a max working temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit and a max working pressure of 125 PSI. If you're looking to use it as a temporary fix, it can be easily removed using a compatible disconnect tool (sold separately).
