SharkBite™ UR4248 Details

Install a safe and reliable water distribution system with this SharkBite™ polybutylene 90 degree elbow adapter. Made with a DZR brass body that prevents corrosion and cracking, this fitting is perfect for use in commercial and residential plumbing when installing potable water or radiant heating systems above or underground, as well as behind walls. This elbow adapter provides a simple transition from polybutylene pipe to CTS pipe, and it fits 1/2" pipes. Conveniently color-coordinated, the side with the gray collar is compatible with polybutylene tubing, while the tan collar side is compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE SDR-9 tubing. Plus, it can be installed on wet lines for hassle-free installation.

Simple to install with no special tools or materials needed, this elbow adapter is ideal for use in tight spaces and utilizes a unique push-to-connect design. After securely passing through a release collar, the stainless steel grab ring features teeth that bite onto the pipe for a leak-free connection. Meanwhile, the EPDM rubber O-ring protector compresses around and aligns the pipe for a watertight seal. An integral stiffener provides additional pipe support, especially when using this fitting with PEX, PE-RT, and HDPE tubing. This elbow adapter has a max working temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit and a max working pressure of 200 PSI. If you're looking to use it as a temporary fix, it can be easily removed using a compatible disconnect tool (sold separately).
