The sugar actually had a nice maple flavor to it without being over powering or woody / barky tasting. It's also a lighter color as well, which apparently, lighter is the higher grades of syrup. It's nice to have it in smaller packages for easier handling and to test it before actually buying it. Will get this again when I need more.
This is a great way to add a bit of maple flavour to anything from dessert to coffee. I did buy it for creme brûlée but it doesn't torch as nicely as regular sugar.

A unique ingredient that was required in some baking recipes. It’s nice they offer this smaller size to try out before deciding if I need to buy the large. Haven’t seen this in the grocery store, glad it’s sold here.
Very pleased with both the taste and consistency. We use Maple Sugar in our BBQ Rub, but have always had issues with the moisture level in local products. This Maple sugar is more the consistency of granulated sugar - easy to incorporate into dry rubs.
