Details

When your customers expect the very best, deliver a meal that's a cut above the rest with this Rastelli's 7 lb. Black Angus rib roast! Black Angus beef is prized for its great flavor and generous, even fat marbling; this meat comes from Black Angus cattle that are hand-raised with care to ensure a tender texture and exquisite taste. This standing rib roast is cut from the rib primal section and boasts abundant marbling throughout. This richly marbled fat renders during cooking, imparting the roast with the mouthwateringly beefy flavor and tender, juicy texture that makes it a favorite of true meat aficionados. When roasted to medium-rare perfection and served au jus alongside tender, fresh vegetables or garlicky mashed potatoes, this rib roast makes a show-stopping centerpiece for your holiday feast or a deliciously memorable carving station entree!

This Black Angus rib roast is expertly wet aged in house for 21 to 28 days to ensure a rich flavor and tender texture that make it easy to prepare. As its name implies, this hearty rib roast is perfect for roasting! Remove the rib roast from your refrigerator several hours before you begin cooking to allow it to come up to room temperature, then pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp, brown crust. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit while you prepare an herbed butter flavored with garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Slather one side of the beef with the herb butter, then place it butter-side down in a heavy roasting pan and roast for 20 minutes. Remove the roast from the oven, slather with the remaining butter, then turn your oven down to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Roast the beef for an additional 1 1/2 hours, basting every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 118 degrees for medium rare doneness. Transfer the roast to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and rest for 20 to 30 minutes, allowing the internal temperature to rise to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. After it has rested, slice your rib roast against the grain for an unforgettably flavorful and tender entree!

This is why you need a five star rating system… So you can put this in the middle showing three stars and an average product. First off, do not confuse this with prime rib because it is “choice“ which is the same thing you typically get in a grocery store. It had a decent beefy taste and was tender but it just lacked “something“. Wet aging is a cheap and horrible way to age beef compared to what we used to get prior to 1980/81 but it’s the way most beef is aged these days. The diet could’ve been a little better as it had an average taste to it so it was nothing spectacular. Although there was still a good portion of marbled fat in the beef, it just lacked that punch that you get from prime beef which usually has a better diet. I would have to think real Read More
