Great coffee Maker! The Proctor Silex takes about 10. Simple switch that illuminates when on. Brews very quickly. However, the only downside is the spout does not dribble, no matter how fast you pour. It always gets all over the counter so I have to wipe it up. I contacted the company to ask about it and they actually sent me a replacement pot, but it also dribbles. Brews great coffee. It seems pretty durable and is a good inexpensive coffee maker.
