Scratch and Dent Vulcan SX36-6BP SX Series Liquid Propane 6 Burner 36" Range with Standard Oven - 198,000 BTU

DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN. The pilot light for the oven went out within the first 6 months. Took forever to get the "warranty" company out to repair. Now the pilot light has gone out for the oven AGAIN only 6 months later. This is crazy. Best part is now the part is on back order. I've had a service call in with HOBART (the local warranty company) for months now. Yes you heard me right. Months with no oven in my commercial kitchen. Do not buy this unit, it is clearly defective. I'll be lining up for the class action lawsuit that is sure to come from this unit.

OVEN does NOT work! We have had nothing but problems with this unit since we purchased back in late 2020. We have not been able to use our oven for 6+ months due to a defect in the gas line. Vulcan has been extremely un-helpful and keep providing Hobart the incorrect replacement parts. Keep in mind the unit is under warranty and we still cannot get it working after 6+ months! STAY AWAY from this unit!

Do not buy this unit!!! I saw five star review so I bought it. Afterwards the bad reviews shows. The product have warranty but cannot set up warranty. Cannot get in touch with the company. The oven pilot went out after one use. Bad bad product. I just got the oven less than 6 months. Its giving me problems already.

We recently bought it and since beginning have been facing issue with OVEN. Pilot lots but the moment you run oven, both goes off within 5-10 mins. I have tried all trouble shooting techniques provided in their install guide. Biggest challenge is, warranty is supported by Vulcan's approved partners and they don't have availability. With restaurant being open, no options available but to call someone however warranty will get void if someone. Worst part is their warranty service partners ask for 400$ - 500$ credit card hold just to charge us incase its a non issue. Buying online is good however with such support it becomes a nightmare to run restaurant.

Stay away from this oven. We bought this unit in August 2020. The oven pilot failed within 4 months. We contacted Hobart and they could not come out for a minimum of 6 weeks. So far we have had the technician out six times and replaced every part associated with the oven, pilot, and thermostat, which still does not work correctly.

Don't buy this. Pilot is not working. We spend thousands of dollars to fix small issue. Go with different oven.

I bought this unit to be able to remove and clean the range pieces. After few uses you cannot remove them anymore. Bad design.

This is an absolute work horse of a stove. After two years of almost daily use it continues to function well and has more power then most people can use. Highly recommended.

Great upgrade for a 10 year old range at our restaurant and i can say i am more than pleased with the built quality and sturdy design. This is the best buy so far.
