Scratch and Dent Avantco GDC-23-HC 28 3/8" Black Swing Glass Door Merchandiser Refrigerator with LED Lighting

Cooler has enough room to fit several items. Easily accessible and displays products perfectly. Castor wheels make for easy moving. Nice LED lights make for easy product viewing.

Bought this in October 2019. Now April 2023, unit started leaking and not cooling. Spent half a grand fixing.

This product does perform as advertised and is solidly built. The interior lighting is great and it holds temps fairly well. I really would love to give this product 4 or 5 stars. However, I can only give this product 2 stars due to the loudness of the unit. When the fan cycles on, which is about every 5-10 minutes, the unit gets as loud as 65-70 db. (I measured it.) I understand the unit needs airflow, but I've worked with minus 80 freezers that are not as loud.

It has a lot of space for storage. But low quality, the top fan has burnt out and stopped working after 2 and a half months.

I have had this fridge since 2021 with no issues. I thought I would leave a review because I'm buying another one for another one of our stores!

Only two issue which I notice and its annoying (Wheels does not grip the floor, second when its starts it have very loud noise and first I start worried that it might be damage but after reading other people review find out the noise issue.

Very good cooler for the price. We have purchased this item multiple time and have been using them for years with no problem. Avantco is a great product just as good if not better than other Big name brands.

I love the look and space inside. a little loud, but the biggest problem is that it does not maintain temperature. Even when the door is shut, and the fridge is not in use, the fridge loose temp and keeps kicking back on. Fluctuating by itself when the door is not open, and I am sure it is eating up power... A technician came to check and told us it is normal, but I don't think its .. it happens around the clock and too often to be normal. The door is sealed shut, and there is no clear reason why it's losing temp...

Unit stopped cooling suddenly. Evaporator leak AND compressor failure--only two years old!! Repairs $2k...I may as well purchase another cooler! Horrible!!!

Water comes down a lot from the ceiling fan. how to fix it?

I purchased this cooler just over one year ago, and of course the warranty ran out, Now they changed the warranty for 2 years. Everyone seems to have the same problem, compressor is Chinese!

I purchased 2 units and both have failed. Repairs will cost too much .They both failed to hold Proper temps shortly after the One Year Warranty for Parts and service .The 5 year does not cover the service call and very specific to what it will then cover. I highly recommend choosing a different unit even if it costs a bit more. These were both highly disappointing . Repair costs are too high and a risk for repeat issue.

Cooler died after using for 9 months.

We love this cooler. It’s amazing. Keeps beverages super cold. Looks great and the wheels make it easy to move. Great lighting and product looks great in it.

Purchased this refrigerator a month ago. Noticed the temp fluctuates all the time and there is always a puddle of water on the bottom of the unit. Not sure if this is going to cause issues in the future, but it is very annoying to have to clean up all the time.

The size is nice. The wheels do not lock well and the whole refrigerator moves when you try and open the door. We had to lay down a rubber mat and use stoppers. It's still pretty difficult to open without budging the whole thing. Its It also leaks quite a bit of condensation water that gathers on the bottom.

Upon arrival the door hung low on one side. Unfortunately we were buying equipment in advance for our bar opening and didn't unbox it right away. When I called I was told that we were outside the window to inspect and get replaced. The door has gotten progressively worse and now won't shut without user intervention. You have to pull the door up so the bottom corner does not hit the frame. The rest of the unit seems fine but the door came either damaged or poorly assembled.

What a piece of junk. I bought this unit July 2020 and Feb 2024 they're telling me its not cooling due to a leak that will cost more to fix than the thing cost to begin with. Very disappointed in Avantco and will not buy another.

Dead on arrival. Received error code E0 unit does not cool. Instruction manual does not indicate what this means. Sent a note to webrestaurantstore and am waiting to hear back. The unit is heavy so not looking forward to a return process either. Buyer beware.

Been a year+ already and the unit is going strong, no issues. spacious interior. holds a steady 38 degrees, drinks nice and cold. runs fairly quiet.

Absolute junk. Arrived defective and they turn you over to a warranty company that is useless in responding. Webstaurant offers no help.

Took one star off because the compressor is relatively loud. Otherwise, it's a very nice unit and I am glad I made the investment. Easy to adjust shelving, well lit, and the casters are such a bonus. It has been in operation for close to a year now with zero problems. Arrived in excellent condition - well protected for shipping. Watch out though - make sure you measure your doors before you order. We had to really tilt it to bring it inside. My bad. I should have thought about it.

So far so good on this fridge. It does the job and was priced very fair for the size of the fridge. Quick delivery too!

I absolutely love this merchandiser Refrigerator. My cakes display very well in this refrigerator and looks so professional. You can't go wrong with this unit.

Great to merchandise all of our beers and coolers. We ordered the bottle dividers (you have to angle shelves toward front) to keep bottles neatly displayed and forward facing.

only work one year ............then keep jump out the power. this refrigerator is not recommended. keep a way for that. better buy some equipment come with more year warranty

This fridge is great! It showed up in perfect condition and has worked well ever since. The lighting is very bright which is great for showing off merchandise.

We have two of these coolers, and we really like them. We have them serviced quarterly with our HVAC, and we haven't had any trouble with them. I believe we bought our first one about 2 years ago and our newer one about 6 months ago. They are nice and cold, they look nice, and they are great for merchandising products.

Perfect size . great deal for the price way better than local prices and sams club. We will buy again. The only thing I don't like is the on off button is right on the front. We put something over it as to not turn it off and it is fine. Not super quiet.

Great company, I`ve owned this unit for about a year. Never shut down, and is currently running 14 hours a day. Awesome set up with a lot of space.

This refrigerator has been great, have had no problems at all thus far with it. We were easily able to replace the plexiglass at the top with our own and it was easy to install and looks great!!

Merchandiser looks great and so far operates perfectly. The only issue is that it can be loud and hot if operating in a smaller space.
