Scratch and Dent Avantco APT-48M-HC 47" 2 Door Mega Top Refrigerated Sandwich Prep Table

I bought two Avantco prep tables, both of them stopped cooling two days apart from each other and 4 months past the warranty expired. I was happy with these coolers but clearly they aren't built to last past their warranty expiration dates. Would absolutely recommend that anybody considering buying these, rethink your choice and choose another product. NOT GOOD.

I received this unit in my restaurant today and it does not work. The unit does not power on and my store has been down all day. My old unit has already been sold and picked up earlier in the day and I am now without a cold front and can not run my restaurant. I called webstaurants.com and the warranty number and no one answers the phone. The warranty phone number says 24 hour access, but the answering service says "will call you back". Very disappointed and will definitely seek compensation for damage to my business as well as notify all social media outlets by end of this evening. This should never happen, What a mess. Consultant team is quickly working to mitigate with seller and get store online.

Please don’t make my mistake this unit is not worth it. We change 2 compressor And this unit doesn’t wanna get fixed I give up

We purchased it in March this year and started using it in mid-April. And we used it for barely two months! The fridge was leaking water for a few days, and now it completely stopped working. It is not getting cold. Right now it is 80+ degrees in the fridge, and we had to throw all the food away which affected our normal business operations! Ridiculous and absurd. I regretted that I did not read reviews beforehand! Do not recommend this product. I submitted a warranty claim, but not sure how long it will take. :(

This prep table arrived within the estimate arrival time. Since our store was still under remodeling, we didn't plug it in until last week when we were ready to open business next week.. To our surprise, the temperature went up to high 70 degree F . We reset it according to the instruction but still not working. We filed a warranty claim and within 3 days they arranged a local repair service . It turned out the compressor was bad. They filed a part replacement request and we don't know when we are able to use the prep table for our new business. The manufacturer should had checked everything before they ship it out, how can they ship a bad compressor to customer. We want to return that but we guess that would be a hazard. I’ve been using this prep table as my main work area out of my food truck for almost 3 years and it’s worked great. I thought is was terrible when I got it because it seamed to not cool the whole fridge area. But once I stopped putting stuff behind the stop at the back of the shelf and left a little room for air movement under the Cambros it never had a problem cooling. Maintenance is pretty simple and if taken care of should be good for years. Pro tip, don’t butt the back up against the wall, use the supplied spacers and give it space to breath, a lot of over temp line fridge issues are due to this.

Junk. Worked - sort of - for 2 years. Warranty on Advantco is dumb. Literally takes weeks to get a warranty tech and go through the process. It's hard to wait several weeks to repair equipment. If you have a short term need then buy Advantco, but don't expect much life out of it. So far in 3 years of a new restaurant, I've had to repair/replace almost all of my original Advantco stuff. Price is great and physical build quality is decent but actual operational parts are cheap and don't last.

We haven't even had it 6 months and it stopped working! The "warranty" is a big run around so far. Do not recommend and will not buy again...

Inside thermostat reads 60 while the outside states 33 degrees!! This obviously is a BIG PROBLEM! Just got this unit brand new!! Looking at the last review and they are having the same issue

Overall a good refrigerator, The sandwich prep area is a bit flimsy. The actual refrigerator area inside is not very deep. I thought it would be able to hold more.

IT WORKED FINE FOR 2 DAYS. NOW, INSIDE TEMPERATURE STAYS AT 65 F - 70 F WHILE THERMOSTAT SETTING AT 33 F. DEFECTIVE ITEM ARRIVED!!!

Nice unite for the price good size cutting board and works well . Only complaint I could have is there really is not a good seal around the top lid

I am so bummed. Do not buy this product. Like others, I purchased a 2 year warranty. It comes with a one year warranty and the 2 year optional warranty s really then only a year warranty. One month after warranty ended, a mere 2 years after purchasing, a leak occured in the evaporator. Webstaurant then told me yes it is warrantied and sent me to safeguard who then said warranty just expired. Then I went back to Webstaurant to be told oh so sorry you were given the wrong info it did indeed just expire and if it were compressor that is still warrentied but not your. expensive leak. This thing is only 2. years old! Now nervous as I purchased a freezer and ice maker from them with same brand. What a waste of money and resources . I really like the capacity of this unit. The top is gigantic, I would have never thought you could fit so much in this size unit. Durability I can't yet say since I have only had this unit for a few months. I have used Avantco refrigerator units in the past though and have not yet been disappointed. I did purchase the 5 year warranty in case any issues arise. I would recommend it.

I ordered this prep fridge for my new restaurant. It was delivered secure and quick. It comes securely delivered in a wooden crate to prevent any damages. And after you take it out of the crate it is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Webstaurant!

I bought this November 2020 and had it installed in my food truck a year ago. The cabinet is now only sixty degrees. I'm disappointed if it only lasted one year. I'll update as I have more information.

This saved our lives... ok not really but it really did. Our old one died and we saw this and thought for sure this was it. Small than our last one but holds just as much and we love it.

This has been an excellent piece of equipment! Small enough to squeeze into small space and the perfect amount of room on the bottom for back up storage.

For the first few years, this prep table worked excellent. Like a workhorse! It wasn't until the compressor started leaking, that was unfortunate but manageable with adding the freon every now and then. If you take care of it I believe it should last at minimum 7 years.

This sandwich prep area is great! Roomy bottom for storage, and the top has a good amount of space more different toppings. Would recommend this to other!
