Destroy condensate pan sludge and scum quickly and easily with this Nu-Calgon 4296-60 Pan-Treat condensate pan treatment! If left untreated, condensate pans will begin to grow sludge and scum, which can in turn plug drain lines, cause overflowing and water damage, and create unpleasant odors. This product is designed to clean and prevent these deposits, and since it comes in an easy to use tablet form it can be applied easily and save you money on expensive cleaning and repair bills. It can also be used in humidifiers to prevent scum and keep the water clean!
Application is a simple process. When applying to a condensate pan, use 2 or more tablets per ton of the system capacity if the pan is visibly dirty or fouled, repeating until the system is clean. For clean pans, use 1 tablet per ton each month to prevent scum and sludge buildups. Place the tablets away from the drain so that they achieve maximum contact with the condensate. When using in a humidifier, use 2 - 4 tablets every 4 - 6 weeks as needed, cleaning and rinsing out the humidifier's reservoir regularly.
