Owning a grilled cheese food truck, I am always looking for ways to speed up the line. This Nemsco butter spreader really did the trick. Nicknamed “ The Butter Maker” on our truck, was a real workhorse, right up until it wasn’t. It is a great little appliance, holds almost a pound of butter at a time, but it has some flaws. The lid is designed to go over the cord at the back, which rubs against the cord. After almost 3 years of use, the lid has cut into the cord and severed it completely from the unit. This of course did not come without excitement! There were was a great showing of sparks and smoke to go along with it creating quite a show. Alas, I am without a “butter maker” and I am ordering another one. This time however I will alter the lid to protect the cord so it will last a bit longer.

I'm fairly heart broken. Such a simple and efficient kitchen tool, a favorite gadget for our busy kitchen......just quit heating. The cord appears to be intact but it just gave up the ghost. I have to order a replacement because it is an awesome tool. I did have it for three years, although i can't see any reason why it should have quit working. I'm disappointed, but I don't see any better option.

I don't know what took me so long to get this item. It make my preparation of someone's meal so much quicker. I love this butter spreader, it's becme a member of my business forever. I can't see being without this. I even bought one for home use.
We are disappointed in this butter wheel. it was the first one we have ever used and it heats and holds butter well but it is hard to get the butter on the bread

I like this butter spreader. It melts the butter and is very useful for spreading on sandwiches, etc. We use it for our egg-in-a-hole toast, which we make large quantities of, and both sides need to be butter, so this is a time saver.
Works great. We always hated a pan of butter being moved around the grill - this is much neater. Allows for single handed buttering of bread and rolls.
