I have three 8.5 pound fryers. I use this pot with a filter and frame to strain and store the fryer oil. This works great. The oil can be poured back into the fryer or stored for later. The lid locks down with latches same as a tool box uses. And the handles on the side make it easier to move. This pot is sturdy and I think it makes hot fat just a little bit safer to deal with.
We were using any pot or pan we could find to hold our oil. This is a high capacity and also the lock on lid makes transportation very safe and easy.

This is the perfect height, and size for our fryer and oil draining needs. The top stays on snugly and we haven't had a single issue with leakage in the past 4 months. The price is reasonable for the product and it's so easy to move around as the wheels are a perfect addition to this unit.
Draining oil has never been easier or cleaner! If you also purchase the Mir filter bag and bag frame, filtering oil will be a breeze. Can not imagine filtering oil now without it.

We love this product. We had used several different pots, buckets, etc. before buying this product. We run a mobile concession so something that would not leak was very important to us. With this we can drain the grease immediately with no worries about it being too hot. So we can be on our way. And it has a low profile with the wheel base making it easy to store. Definitely a five star product.
