Our organization has been stocking grocery food items as well as heavy cartons on these shelves. The wedge connectors are reliable and do not succumb to heavy weights. The appropriate shelves line up exactly with the wedge connectors and you have to snap the plastic handle so that shelves firmly grasp the wedge connector. The shelf has been standing for a good 6 years. So I would quite recommend this product.
