For a stand, VERY pretty and decorative. It helped to make the honeycomb glass container that sat in it. It was easy to move. It is not too heavy or bulky. Once the glass container that we purchased with it broke, it has become obsolete. Perhaps another container, even a storage container, could be used with it.
