Mercer Culinary M35701 Details

The Mercer Culinary M35701 12" dual thickness hand slicer is a safe and speedy solution for slicing all types of fruits and vegetables. Simply slice foods using a back and forth motion, similar to using a mandoline. Use it for carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, bananas, and even soft skin foods like tomatoes. The transparent design lets you see the volume of food that has been sliced.

Thanks to the dual-sided blade, the operator can simply flip over the blade in order to create either thin or thick slices. Convenient triangle indicators show the operator which thickness has been selected. Made of extra sharp cutlery steel for professional use, the serrated blade is also removable for easy cleaning.

The Mercer Culinary 12" dual thickness hand slicer has several other features to enhance safety and efficiency in your commercial kitchen. Not only does its handle feature a rubber exterior for a safe and secure grip, it also has an indent that allows you to place the unit atop a bowl to easily catch food slices. When used without a bowl, the slicer's non-slip feet prevent it from moving around on prep tables. In addition, a protective hand guard is included to keep hands away from the blades and create a safe blade cover when in storage.

slicer Slices onions potatoes blade little mandolin nice blades needed

Now I can finally make visually appealing caprese salads and get thin slices for scalloped potatoes. I really needed one of these and love that it is handheld.

This is a nice hand slicer for smaller tasks. Sometimes I don’t want to break out and clean my mandolin when i just need a few small slices. Ensures each slice is the exact same thickness

    Awesome slicer

I love my mandolin! I use it to sliced onions, yams, sweet potatoes, zucchini, squash and so much more. It's a great quality and the price is less than half of what you would pay for in a fancy store .

Wow what an amazing slicer. I no longer need to pull out my bulky mandolin just to slice an onion or potato. Slices onions perfectly and fast with no tears!

This has a nice, compact size and it gets the same job done that a larger and bulkier unit does. The blades are slightly serrated and it is a little harder to get started compared to the V-blade type, but overall it works well for the price and for occasional use. If you plan on using one of these often, I would recommend investing in something more heavy duty, but for the sporadic user, this is great!

Good little hand slicer - the two different thickness options is nice, but pulling out the blade and changing it from thin to thick or vice versa can be a little difficult - the blade doesn't always want to slide out very easily, and it makes it seem as if it's not designed to come out at first.
