This is my first pair of plating tongs, and it works great! It's easy to clip, doesn't destroy small pieces, and is very easy to clean as well.

I like these but surprisingly not as much as the 9 3/8" curved plating tongs. These are a bit small and mostly only useful for plating but the larger ones work for plating as well so if I could do it again I'd just go straight for the larger tongs.

I bought these and the straight plating tongs are the same time. Neither really give any bigger advantage then the other. Given the option to go back, I probably would have only bought just the straight. But the product is just as well made and comfortable in the hand as the straight.
