For your convenience, the drainage holes on this planter are not pre-drilled, so it can be used both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor use, drill a 3/4" hole into the bottom of the planter. This helps prevent oversaturation of the plants as well as bulging of the planter walls. For proper drainage, it is recommended that you fill the bottom of the planter with 8" to 10" of lightweight fillers such as lava rock, mulch, or wood chips. Clean this planter with a soap solution and high-pressure water.
