Lodge Pro-Logic P10D3 4 Qt. Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven

For small roasts and thick steaks, this is perhaps the best device ever. The heat retention is great, everything cooks evenly, and nothing has dried or crusty edges. Unlike enamel surfaces that eventually discolor, plain cast iron is easy to maintain with just a scouring sponge.

My favorite, all-in-one pot! Bought two Lodge cast iron dutch ovens for my partner as a holiday gift: This one is by far the better model of the two. I love the lid, which I use when making eggs or sauting vegetables on our cast iron pan. Solid lid, with enough room to get a good grip. I also love how the handles go up at an angle and how rounded and smooth they are. The other dutch oven, the more recent Lodge release, has punch out handles that are difficult to grip and a terrible lid handle. The interior size of this dutch oven is the ideal width for the loaf of bread detailed in Ken Forkish's breadmaking book. I have used this dutch oven, along with a set of Cambros containers and lids, to kick start my breadmaking journey, and all these items have gotten over 7 months of use and hold up fabulously. This is a great Dutch oven. Never had one before and totally fell in love with it. I use it to cook pot roast and just tastes amazing. Very sturdy and great quality!

I use this for baking bread, and it's phenomenal. It stands up to the 475*F oven, and the handles make it easy to remove from the oven, a scary task with a dutch oven that hot. I would recommend this product.

A great cast iron cookware piece. The cast iron is sturdy and the Lodge name says it at all. The leader in quality cast iron cookware. Great for frying chicken.

It is a must have for every kitchen. If you take good care of it, it will last for many years. Hand washing is always the best way to clean them and make sure it is completely dry before you put it away so it will not rust. It is rather heavy but sturdy. You can cook many different types of food in it and it can be interchanged with other pots and pans.

This is the perfect size of for a dutch oven if you want to cook meals for a family but don't need the heft of a 6 quart. The loops handles are easy to grab and the lid fits nicely on the pot. Great for stovetop to oven to table top all in one pot!

Being that I'm somewhat new to cooking and needed some new pans for the learning process. This is by far the best..has made my life so much simpler! Everything I cook in it comes out absolutely amazing!

I have the 4 Qt Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven with Loop Handles and it is invaluable to me. It is well made and will last a life time. I make roasts, stews, soups, and even bread in it. I couldn't say enough about Lodge Cast Iron products. They are worth their weight in gold.

Five stars all the way! The handles are a nice improvement from the original style. The changes on this particularly model of Lodge dutch ovens from the original style are the handles which are now larger, the lid sets flush with the upper rim of the dutch oven and the lid has several rings for basting rather than all the little points of the original style.

If you want to make excellent artisan bread, this is the secret tool for home bakers. The 5qt dutch oven works well, but your loaves with turn out a little flatter. This 4qt dutch oven makes the perfect boule - structure, height, and crust. Just preheat your oven and carefully plop your boule into it. Within 30 minutes, you'll have the best-tasting bread you've ever made.
