I might come back and modify this, depending on how it performs. First and foremost, this is not the cheapest waffle maker on the market. In fact, it was the second most expensive we researched. Taxes, shipping, and import fees (I'm not in the US), were a pretty penny. The box that they used to ship this is simply not designed to carry such weight. THere is no styrafoam or packing material inside to truly protect it. Each of our handles that are on the sides came bent, substantially, and the actual waffle maker bracket for one side was bent substantially as well. There wasn't any damage to the box, as if it had been dropped, so not honestly sure why this was like this at all. Again, I'll consider bumping up depending on how the unit works, but for now, I'm dissapointed.
