Customer questions about this product
- What are the differences between commercial and residential KitchenAid mixers?
- Compared to residential KitchenAid mixers, commercial KitchenAid units are more powerful, incorporate durable components, offer extra safety features, and have an extended warranty. Commercial mixers also come with an 8 qt. stackable stainless steel bowl rather than a 6 qt. bowl, allowing you to mix larger batches of ingredients. While residential mixers include cast aluminum accessories that must be hand washed, commercial mixers come with heavy-duty stainless steel accessories that are dishwasher safe for fast cleanup. KitchenAid commercial mixers are NSF Listed and include a 73 1/2” orange commercial-grade cord to ensure superior safety and sanitation. Working with a residential mixer in a commercial kitchen will void the warranty on your unit and may result in health inspector violations.

People Talk About:Kitchen mixer attachments bowl size amazingly doughs freeze mixers weeks

These KitchenAid mixers are meant to go, and go, and go, for years, DECADES. Ours has been running strong since our wedding in 2005, and we use it at least multiple times per week, but definitely daily use on many weeks out of the year. I doubt we will ever have to replace it, because it still runs like new. We think the 6qt size is ideal because it allows us to make larger recipes or double- and triple-batches at once, but still does not have too cumbersome of a bowl. It is the perfect combination of size and volume for us. We are a gluten-free family, so I make all our own breads and pizza. I make two dozen burger-size buns at a time, and freeze them. We make pizza or stromboli on this machine at least once per week, if not more. Our 6qt stainless mixer bowl pops into the over for 110-degree proofing on the dough for an hour, which saves time and dishes. It is amazingly convenient and easy to have high quality scratch breads and doughs all the time at home, with little time invested in the results. It is also a money saver too! Buying similar gluten free bakery buns at Whole Foods is 100 times the cost of making them at home. We recently got the FPPA attachment, so I can't wait to see what more we can churn out on this great mixer!

This is an absolutely fantastic mixer. It looks as good as it is functional. Add the attachments for an absolute must have in any kitchen!

Anyone who doesn't have a Kitchen Aid in their kitchen is doing themselves a disservice. Between the time saved mixing dough, blending batters, and even shredding cooked meat (not to mention the great selection of attachments like the meat grinder and spiralizer) this machine is basically my sous chef. Everything Kitchen Aid is made with amazing quality and is guaranteed to last a life time.

A Baker's BEST FRIEND. This mixer is perfect for heavy, and dense mixtures. Mixes recipes with up to 14 cups of flour. I've mixed 13 dozen cookies, in a single bowl.
