Help control the release of flammable vapors with this Justrite brass safety drum vent assembly. It's an essential tool for any drum that stores and dispenses flammable liquids. This unit has automatic pressure and vacuum relief, so users can safely store and dispense flammable liquids. Its vertical configuration is designed to relieve pressure between 3 and 8 PSI and features an internal flame arrestor, which absorbs and dissipates heat to help prevent flashback ignition. The vacuum relief feature allows for the smooth liquid flow of 61 cu. in. of water through a 3/8" pipe nipple in less than 6 seconds.

This unit's emergency pressure venting also prevents drum failure, collapse, and possible leakage in the event of a fire. It's specifically designed for use with a 3/4" drum bung, and it features a brass cap with a safety chain tethered to the vent so it won't be lost or misplaced. It is recommended that the cap be removed while filling the drum and placed back on after filling is complete to prevent flammable vapors from escaping.
