With a significantly smaller footprint, it’s unlike any of the food waste production system on the market today. Our waste express system will help you decrease labor cost, reduce waste hauling charges and increase efficiency. The system consists of several components, including a sink bowl, a trough or sink mounting, a 3 horsepower disposer, an electrical control, water controls and a de-watering unit. The kitchen waste is ground into small particles in the disposer grind chamber. The ground waste is the transferred through the plumbing into the de-watering unit. After waste is compressed, liquids are sent down the drain line and solid wastes exit through the shoot and into a standard 10 gallon trash receptacle. Waste express systems are designed for continuous operation; processing up to 700 pounds per hour. In places like hospital and health care facilities, restaurants, correctional facilities and business and industry. This system can handle all types of waste including food and disposable items like paper napkins, plastic utensils, jelly packets or straws. The unit can process 100% food waste or up to 50% disposable items. Dishes are scraped into a trough or sink bowl. The InSinkerator disposer grinds all food waste and disposable materials. As the waste moves up the auger, all excess water is squeezed out, all solid waste that is processed leaves the system through the shoot. Food waste from the shoot then empties into a standard 10 gallon trash receptacle. The end product is an 85% volume reduction from the original waste. This means fewer trips to the dumpster, thereby saving labor costs, reducing waste hauling costs and increasing overall profitability. As you can see, the end product is semi-dry waste with little moisture. Most of the water is squeezed out during the processing period. The cleaning and maintenance routine for the waste xpress system is easy. The disposer does not require cleaning; simply run it until all of the waste has been processed. The de-watering unit should be cleaned at least once per day. To clean it, simply remove the shoot by pulling up on the handles. Next, loosen the captive fasteners and lift off the bearing bracket and lift the auger and screen up and out. Any excess food waste on the auger or screen can also be discarded into the trash receptacle. Once food waste is removed, the auger, auger screen, shoot and bearing bracket can be placed in the dishwasher. The inside cabinet of the unit should be rinsed out with a hose or spray assembly. After the dishwashing cycle, all parts are clean and ready for the next use. To reassemble the unit simply place the auger inside the auger screen, then set it back in place. You may need to spin the auger to ensure that it is set in place correctly. The bearing bracket fits on top of the unit and locks into place by tightening the captive fasteners. Finally, replace the shoot. The unit is now ready for the next meal shift. In order to keep the waste xpress performing at optimum level, it is recommended that you avoid the following items: silverware, soda cans, glass and lids. These items may cause damage to the unit: saran wrap and latex gloves. These items act like rubber band and may jam the unit. The waste xpress system has some unique features compared to the traditional pulpar systems. First, it’s easy to clean. The hot water sprays cycle on and off to rinse the auger screen. Unlike traditional pulpar’s the Waste Xpress does not require cardboard and it can process 100% food waste. Plus, it has a significantly smaller footprint than other pulpars. To improver operation effectiveness of your system, InSinkerator offers some operation tips. We recommend that you start the unit prior to operating, avoid batch feeding, gradually feed waste, allow the unit to run 2-3 minutes after the last load of waste has been processed.
