Odd smelling, not a good honey smell or flavor. It may be okay as a sugar substitute but other than that, not impressed. I will give it a try in a small batch of mead.
This was purchased for my partners baking needs. When I had let them complete most of the container undecided to experiment. I converted the food grade container with a new lid into a fermenter and used what honey was left to make Mead. It will ferment and produces a dark rich complex mead.
DO NOT BUY this special honey!!! Upon reading the reviews on Baker's Special Honey I went ahead and ordered it. As soon as I opened the bucket it smelled like molasses,, not even a hint of honey at all. It has a very strong flavor and smell of molasses. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it on a few of my recipes, It definitely change the flavor, consistency and of course the color of my recipes. I DO NOT recommend this as honey but rather as a molasses.
Bakers honey has a darker color and slightly sweeter taste when compared to wildflower honey.. will be using for meads and perhaps making ginger candies..

Great honey. I prefer this to standard floral varietals. It has a richer flavor and darker color than traditional. Having it be slightly cheaper than the rest. Wow.
We make a lot of granola at the International ALERT Academy where I work, and that means a lot of honey! I appreciated finding this honey at such a good price. It's not ideal for serving by itself, as in with biscuits or such, although it works ok. But for baking it's great, thus the name.:)

I have now ordered two of these buckets of honey. I haven't used them yet but one will soon be made into mead. The other bucket was lost to me as I had moved and forgot to update my information (user error). I was just informed that the bucket was found at my old address and is now in transit back to them. It’s definitely a stronger flavor than the squeeze bear from the supermarket. For me, that’s a big plus. I go through a lot of honey in the winter and this is still a three year supply. It’s half the price of the fancy honey, and you can actually taste it in your teas. It’s also very good in homemade granola.
This product does everything that I need it to do and it is cheaper then getting it from a food distributor. Defiantly a must if you use a lot of honey.

I purchased this Bakers Honey specifically for home brewing beer. Note the Bakers grade honey is suitable only if you are 'cooking' it into something such as bread, bbq sauce etc... This is not the best honey for flavor and taste or to spread on toast.
