These Halifax half insulated curtains are the perfect companion to your type 1 box or type 2 heat removal kitchen hood system! In many jurisdictions, installing a side curtain eliminates the need for an additional 6" overhang on either side of the hood because the curtain contains dirty air and grease, improving capture and also lowering the necessary exhaust rate. It's a great option for applications where space is particularly tight.

Each curtain is made from 430 stainless steel to provide superior durability. This half height curtain can also be used to physically separate the hood area above the cooking surface from other kitchen equipment. Plus, its insulated construction may help reduce space needed for clearance to combustible materials.

Yes! In the Resources & Downloads section we list 2 forms – Receiving Agreement & Order Acknowledgement. These forms are required by the manufacturer to begin processing your order. We encourage you to promptly complete these forms after your order has been placed and email them directly to [email protected] with your order number in the subject line. If you selected Fire Suppression as part of your hood package, please also complete and submit the Fire Suppression Layout form located in the Resources & Downloads section. A member of our team will also contact you after the hood is ordered to ensure completion of the forms and processing of the order.

Will this remove the need for 6” clearance on either side of my equipment with my local codes?
