Works well on cabbage, however, you need to cut up into smaller portions to fit the little canister. Onions worked well. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. Make sure to have a large wide mouth bowl to catch as it comes out, it can get quite messy.

This slicer has its place. it works well for firm fruits and vegetables. It slices apples, pears, onions, peppers and more perfectly after you get the thickness adjusted. Easy mounting.
