If you need an alternative hood system where a traditional hood is structurally prohibited or too expensive, add this Giles free-standing ventless recirculating hood. Thanks to its free-standing design, you can add deep fryers to your cook line without building modifications or an expansion of the existing conventional ventilation system. Plus, with this ventless hood, venting to the outside is not necessary, and the low-profile exhaust air diverter minimizes the required ceiling height clearance, allowing it to fit under standard 8' ceilings.

This hood features a push-to-start power switch for easy use, and for the user's safety, it must also be manually restarted after a power interruption to power the cooking appliance underneath. Designed to work with electric fryers, it features a 3 stage air cleaning system to capture and remove grease-laden cooking vapors. This hood works with floor model fryers from 10" to 24" wide. A self-contained Ansul R102 wet chemical system (suppression chemical sold separately) is included to provide superior flame knockdown and control in the event of a fire, and it makes installing your hood easy and convenient. This system contains an Automan release mechanism, a 1.5 gallon tank, piping, discharge nozzles, detector link brackets, and a cable conduit.

This hood's stainless steel baffle filter works to trap the largest grease particulate, while the Sustainable Electronic Air Cleaner cell electrostatically captures and collects finer grease particulate on plates in the cell. The disposable charcoal filter is used to help control cooking odors in the exhaust air. Additionally, the unit's leveling legs are adjustable to make sure your hood stands sturdy while in use. The hood must be hardwired, and all connections to equipment must be made by a qualified electrician. It requires a 208-240V, 1 phase electrical connection for operation, and it does not come with a power cord.

Ventless installations require strict restrictions, so Giles Ventless Installation Requirements must be reviewed. A Hood Application Letter (HAL) must be submitted along with any requested documentation, which must be completed, submitted, and approved by Giles prior to order acceptance. A signature on HAL affirms the site meets all ventless requirements.
