I purchased this to replace the original fry grate that came along with our cookers. There would always be large crumbs falling to the bottom of the cooker causing clogs in the fryer drain valve. This mesh grate holds all those crumbs and some of the larger sediment. We fry a lot of breaded chicken and it's amazing the amount of excess food particles this can catch. The welding is not a strong as I had hoped but only time will tell how well this holds up. I will edit this review once it starts breaking down.
