Pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness of this straw. The only weakness was where it was pinched by the lid. I even watched after it was used and it dried to see what happened - it hardened back up. This is a great alternative to plastic which is filling up our oceans and landfills.

What is the difference between these types of straws?
Straws are available in a variety of diameters based on their intended purpose and function. Sip straws are approximately 1/8" in diameter and used for cocktails and sipping on hot drinks. Jumbo straws are often the standard size for various beverages and measure around 1/4”. Super jumbo straws are also around 1/4” in diameter and some even feature built-in spoons for thick drinks. Milkshakes and smoothies are great for drinking out of Giant straws thanks to their 5/16" diameters, and Colossal straws at approximately 1/2" in diameter are perfect for frozen concoctions.

I bought these by accident and greatly regret it. We use them primarily for milkshakes and we've had nothing but complaints since we started using them. They may be stronger than other eco-friendly straws, but they're still overpriced crap compared to plastic. No thanks.

A great way to make a big dent in the amount of plastics that flood our garbage. Guests are very happy to see the restaurants being more eco friendly and this straw is very durable. Lasts long in cold drinks.
We are trying to go green so we are replacing our plastic straws with paper. The EcoChoice jumbo paper straws are perfect for our lunch service.
Well made solid straws. Wrapping for straw is attached securely and can take being handled without coming apart. At the end of the customers meal (about an hour or so) they are just beginning get soft. These don't have some thick wax coating. Seems to be just paper. Only issue is for to-go cups... when you poke them through the hole they tend to swell at that point faster (where the plastic lid is pinching the straw). But such is the nature of paper straws. Overall, very satisfied.

The box is very convenient. Always in sight. No more searching for straws in my home. I like the individual wrapping. I can carry a few in by handbag and know they stay clean. I will re-order these when they run low.
