  • Compostable

Compostable products will naturally degrade into nutrient-rich organic materials when disposed of with other compostable items in limited areas where facilities exist, leaving no visible or toxic residue.

  • Biodegradable

Upon disposal, biodegradable products are capable of being broken down by biological microorganisms, without harming the environment.

Heavy Weight Construction

This heavy weight wooden fork is a great alternative to green, biodegradable plastic cutlery because it won't break down if stored in high heat areas. Plus, it is perfect to use with side dishes thanks to its sturdy construction!

FSC-Certified Birch Wood Material

This wooden cutlery is made from solid birch wood that is harvested from F.S.C. (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified replanted / sustainable forests. Wooden utensils, such as these wooden forks, are also ideal for use at summer camps, lodges, or other outdoor venues.

Customer Q&A Ask a Question

Do I need to worry about splinters with this wooden flatware?
This wood flatware feels just like a popsicle stick or a tongue depressor, only shaped like cutlery. You won't have to worry about splinters.
How long does wooden flatware take to break down?
In an industrial composting facility, wooden flatware takes about 80 days to break down. The length of time in a backyard compost pile will vary depending on the location.
Will the birch wood used to make this utensil affect the taste of my food?
This wooden flatware is intended for use with food. Because wood is a porous material, flavors may become absorbed into your utensils while you use them, preventing the taste of wood from overpowering your food.
Will this item look exactly like the one that's pictured?
This item is either made of wood or designed to mimic the look of natural wood. Because of the natural differences in wood, no two items will look exactly the same. Each item is designed from, or to look like, the same type of wood, but each will have its own unique appearance and wood-grain.

Well made and beautiful. Durable with no splintering. On par heavy weight plastic as far as picking up foods. No problems with wet foods. I highly recommend these for parties where either a more natural theme is desired or an ecological alternative is desired. Also good if you are looking for a disposable ecological friendly alternative to a fork in packed meals & picnics. You are eating off a wood utensil and I find you can taste the wood initially. If you have ever eaten off those little spoons that came with the ice cream cups you'll know what I mean. I thought I should mention it, but in my opinion it absolutely doesn't detract from the utensil at all. It is a natural product after all!
Used these at my wedding for cocktail hour. Great for a rustic theme, but hard to pick up food, but the guests loved them! And it feels great that they're good for the environment!
These are my favorite brand. Of course if you get the knives than you need the matching forks! They are a bit expensive but they are strong and fancy! Some customers prefer the plastic but these are composite so that's our main reason for getting them!
Love these forks! I originally bought them for a baby shower (these are a favorite of the rustic-inspired Pinterest crowd) and have since purchased more to have on hand every day in my house for our occasional paper plate dinners. They are really lightweight, which is probably the only con- that they at first don’t feel like they will be substantial. But these are really sturdy! You can definitely eat with these and not worry about breaking or splinters. I’ve never noticed a bad taste with them, but it is a wooden product- so you get that popsicle stick sensation on your teeth. This is probably the best price i’ve seen for this product. Other brands in smaller packs in party or specialty stores will likely be identical products.
These forks were a good fit and matched perfectly with other ECO products. I was worried about it being too small but they worked well with salads and desserts.
Our FAVORITE forks to use! Customers sometimes have trouble noticing which one is a fork because they aren't used to forks being wood but once they notice, they love them!
These are very durable forks, and the price is good too. I was afraid customers would be skeptical using them but they seem fine with it. I did have someone complain that they didn't like the texture of the fork, but in my opinion that's no big deal. Especially if it helps cut down the amount of plastic in this world!
We use these forks for the farmers market. They are a great compostable option and great for helping reduce landfill waste. 100% compostable. Great product!
We used these as desert forks at our farm wedding reception. I used a wood burning letter and burnt it into the end of the handle. they were a great touch.
These forks are strong and have a good weight to them. I love the fact that they are made out of natural materials and are eco-friendly. I have had two people say that they don't care for the mouth feel, but the majority of my customers really do like them. They handle our meat and salads easily.
We used these disposable wooden forks for a work event and now I am purchasing them for our wedding! We are doing a Viking themed wedding so the carved wood look is perfect! Not sure how well they will do with meat but once we test them out I'll update this review or add a video review.
I purchased these forks along with the matching knives and palm leaf plates for a small, at home wedding. In addition to being eco-friendly, they are attractive and unique compared to regular plastic forks. Like the knives, the forks are a little on the small side, but still very comfortable to use. I’ve included a picture comparing one to a “normal” fork so buyers can get a better feel for the size. The only downside to the forks are that they taste and feel a bit like popsicle sticks! It’s not a deal breaker, but just something to keep in mind. Overall, I was very pleased with this purchase.
Love that you can get a full set of compostable utensils--perfect for picnics. The tines on these forks are shallow, almost spork-like, which means they can be tricky for serving dishes like noodles. Overall they are a good fit but I would be wary using them with some menus.
I love these wooden forks! They are durable and easily compost in your own backyard. So happy with these I will continue ordering them for future events.
We liked the uniqueness of these. We mostly have them for to go salads but found they're not the best for salads. We've since switched to the corn starch forks sold on here.
I really like these as an alternative to plastic cutlery. I think it makes disposable cutlery look a bit nicer. They do, of course, taste like wood, but its just like eating a popsicle.
These forks are great! I get so many compliments when I'm out on my cupcake truck about the material. I will never go back to plastic.
These forks represent an upscale , earth friendly appeal to our business. They work well, and customers appreciate them more than plastic. I highly recommend them.
Sturdy compostable forks. Tines aren't super spiky so it might be hard for foods that you really need to spear (like steak). But we used them on tender bone-in chicken and enchiladas and they were great. No issues with splinters or taste -- they're like popsicle sticks. Also appreciate that they're attractive. We felt they were nice enough to use at our wedding reception.
These heavy weight disposable wood forks are very nice looking and sturdy. Some people have a hard time using them while others don't. It comes down to preference.
