Enjoy the added nutritional benefits of cooking with dried beans and stock your restaurant or buffet with this 20 lb. bulk supply of dried large lima beans! The smooth and rich texture of these large lima beans makes them a perfect addition to soups, stews, chili, and salads. Make succotash, baked lima beans, or another classic favorite! These beans can even be pureed to make savory bean spreads. A great source of protein and dietary fiber, lima beans can help regulate blood sugar, and can aid in lowering cholesterol.
Because of their long shelf life, dried large lima beans are easy to store and portion. Like all dried beans, these large lima beans require a soaking process before cooking and serving. They may take longer to cook than canned beans, but dried beans have many advantages. Though canned beans require preservatives to lengthen their shelf life, dried beans are more natural and have a much lower amount of sodium than most canned beans. Though canned beans may seem either too firm or too mushy, your staff can control the firmness of the beans as they cook them in their own kitchen. Cost-effective and large in size, these dried lima beans make a smart addition to any commercial kitchen!

People Talk About:beans lima great love cooker Soaked stews cook dried enjoy
I was born in the South so while growing up my grandmother had lima beans on the table at least once a week. I love them - they say home to me. Unfortunately, once I moved to Boston I had trouble finding them. When I found that the Webstaurant store had them in 20 lb boxes, I was thrilled. Soaked overnight then put in a pressure cooker with a bit of bacon fat they taste almost as good as my grandmother's did straight out of her garden.

I don't particularly like Lima beans, but our customers love these and I cook them for my husband at home and he really likes these lima beans as well.

I really enjoy using the dried lima beans in a chipotle lima bean stew. The lima beans add a great creaminess to the stew that I really enjoy.
