Upgrade your list of beverage offerings with Davidson's organic green tea garden loose leaf tea! Sourced from Shaoxing County, in the Zhengjiang Province of China, this organic sencha green tea has been steamed, dried, and rolled into small needle shapes to intensify its taste. This caffeinated sencha pairs well with each of its organic add-ins, including chamomile, cinnamon, hibiscus, calendula flowers, and corn flowers. When brewed, this tea exhibits an exotic, floral flavor profile with a spicy cinnamon aftertaste. Sencha tea originated in Japan, and it is a special type of tea that is typically harvested during its first flush for optimum quality. Although this style of green tea was birthed in Japan, the area east of the Kuaiji Mountain in China is the perfect place to continue this tradition, and that is exactly where Davidson's Organics grows their sencha. The inclination from the mountain provides natural irrigation and lots of sunshine which is a crucial component to sencha's growth; sun exposure is what separates sencha from matcha, a tea that is usually grown in full shade. Separate your beverage service from others by adding this unique sencha green tea to your menu!
When steeped, this tea produces a rich, caffeinated sencha tea extract with an eye-catching amber color. Green tea has less caffeine than black tea, making this a great drink for the afternoon or any other time of the day. To increase its versatility, this tea can be dressed up and prepared in many different ways. Serve this tea unsweetened or allow your customers to add sugar cubes and milk to achieve a sweeter and creamier flavor. For a colder alternative, chill your brewed tea and transform it into a refreshing iced tea beverage or use the cold tea to craft a specialty cocktail like a green tea martini. The options are endless since loose leaf tea allows you to create hand-crafted teas and build a one-of-a-kind tea experience. Use loose leaf tea to gain control over how large of a batch you brew and how strong the tea tastes. If you like a more intense flavor, include a larger tea-to-water ratio, and if you are seeking a more subtle flavor profile, use fewer tea leaves in your brew. In addition to giving you more control over the flavor and size of your tea, loose leaf gives you more control over your environmental impact, helping you cut back on waste by eliminating tea bags.

Steeping Instructions:
Bring 8 oz. of fresh filtered water to a boil. Add 2 grams of tea to an infuser or directly into an 8 oz. mug. Pour the heated water into the mug. Steep for 2-3 minutes. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser. Sip and enjoy your Davidson's organic tea!
Iced Tea Instructions:
Bring your desired amount of water to a boil. Add loose leaf tea directly to the water or use an infuser, measuring out 4 grams of tea leaves per cup of boiling water. Doubling the amount of tea will prevent the flavor from being diluted when the tea is poured over ice. Steep for 2-3 minutes, then strain the tea leaves or remove the infuser. Pour a serving of tea over ice and serve. Chill any remaining tea to serve later.
