Customer questions about this product

How much caffeine does this tea have?

The caffeine content of tea depends on the tea itself, how much tea is used, and how long it is brewed. Below is a chart, displaying the average caffeine content of different types of tea, alongside coffee and cola for comparison.

Estimated caffeine content in an 8oz cup:
Coffee: 110 mg
Cola: 46 mg
Black Tea: 40 mg
Oolong Tea: 30 mg
Green Tea: 20 mg
White Tea: 15 mg
Herbal Tea: 0 mg

What are the differences between White, Green, Oolong, and Black tea?

All teas come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, but they are distinguished by the drying and oxidation process that they undergo.

White tea goes through the fewest alterations, simply being plucked and dried. Green tea undergoes a little bit of processing; then, it is steamed or dry heated to stop the oxidization. Oolongs often undergo some physical manipulation, the cellulose within the tea leaf is strategically broken down to bring out more flavor, and the tea is oxidized is between 10-75%. Whereas black tea leaves are cut, bruised, and fully oxidized.

What is the best way to store loose leaf teas?

For best results, store your loose leaf teas in an air-tight container away from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not store teas in the refrigerator, freezer, or fresh air.

Upgrade your list of beverage offerings with Davidson's organic ginger chai loose leaf tea! Sourced from family tea gardens in the Darjeeling and Assam regions of India, this malty organic black tea pairs well with the masala of organic herbs, ginger, and aromatic spices that have been blended in with its leaves. Once brewed, this well-balanced chai tea exhibits flavors from each of its organic add-ins, including ginger, lemongrass, licorice root, peppermint, and black pepper. Davidson's Organics offers a bold, spicy, and refreshing take on this classic hot beverage. Supposedly, regular chai tea was created over 5,000 years ago in a land that is now identified as India; this style of tea has been pleasing palates for several millennia. Bring both tradition and nuance to your customers through Davidson's organic ginger chai loose leaf tea blend!

When steeped, this tea produces rich, caffeinated black tea extract with a satisfying coffee-brown tint, accompanied by the aroma of ginger and lemongrass. The caffeinated nature of this ginger chai tea will give your customers a surge of clean energy to help them take on the day. This tea can be dressed up and prepared in many different ways. Serve this tea unsweetened or allow your customers to add sugar cubes and milk to achieve a sweet, creamy flavor. For a colder alternative, chill your brewed tea and transform it into a refreshing iced tea beverage or use the cold tea to craft an alcoholic drink like a ginger chai tea cocktail. The options are endless since loose leaf tea allows you to create hand-crafted teas and build a one-of-a-kind tea experience. Use loose leaf tea to gain control over how large of a batch you brew and how strong the tea tastes. If you like a more intense flavor, include a larger tea-to-water ratio, and if you are seeking a more subtle flavor profile, use fewer tea leaves in your brew. In addition to giving you more control over the flavor and size of your tea, loose leaf gives you more control over your environmental impact, helping you cut back on waste by eliminating tea bags.

Steeping Instructions:
Bring 8 oz. of fresh filtered water to a boil. Add 2 grams of tea to an infuser or directly into an 8 oz. mug. Pour the heated water into the mug. Steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser. Sip and enjoy your Davidson's organic tea!

Iced Tea Instructions:
Bring your desired amount of water to a boil. Add loose leaf tea directly to the water or use an infuser, measuring out 4 grams of tea leaves per cup of boiling water. Doubling the amount of tea will prevent the flavor from being diluted when the tea is poured over ice. Steep for 3-5 minutes, then strain the tea leaves or remove the infuser. Pour a serving of tea over ice and serve. Chill any remaining tea to serve later.
