With a guaranteed lifetime accuracy, this instrument is sure to tell you the precise temperature of cooked meat, boiling water, or even your dishwasher's rinse cycle, making it ideal for restaurants, bakeries, healthcare facilities, and even schools. This thermometer features a 3.5 mm diameter probe that reduces down to 1.75 mm in diameter with a thin 1.19 mm diameter tip. This reduced tip boasts a rapid response thermistor sensor, allowing it to detect the temperature in under 6 seconds.
For your convenience, the thermometer includes a hold mode to record current temperatures, and an adjustable temperature alarm. The alarm allows you to designate the set temperature at which the visual alarm should begin flashing. It is programmed to flash at 140 degrees Fahrenheit and can be easily reprogrammed to suit your needs. This thermometer is capable of storing and then displaying its most recent minimum and maximum temperatures. This is especially helpful when using the instrument to monitor how hot dishwashers becomes during cycles, ensuring sufficient heat to abide by sanitation standards. Its waterproof design protects the thermometer, and when used with food products, the antimicrobial additive in the housing helps to maintain the instrument's sanitation.
After 10 minutes of inactivity, the instrument will automatically turn off to preserve its 1.5V battery. Two batteries are included with the thermometer; use one for operation and keep the second as a convenient spare. A low battery indicator icon will appear on the display when it's time to change the batteries.
The thermometer comes in a yellow sheath to protect the probe.
