I love these little thermometers, they are easy to use and easy to read the large digital display. I so depend on them that I have a backup ready just in case I drop or damage one. They have an auto turn off feature and seems to run for years on a single battery. We use them daily to make candy.

When you need fast, accurate temperature readings this Comark DT400 5" waterproof blue digital pocket probe / dishwasher thermometer is the perfect answer! This versatile tool is a must-have for restaurants, bakeries, cafes, delis, and more. It features a probe with an FDA recommended 1.5 mm diameter stem that is excellent for thinner foods and gives you a reading within 6 seconds. The digital display can read temperatures between -4 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 to 200 degrees Celsius), and is accurate to within 1 degree (0.5 degrees Celsius). It also uses BioCote, the only antimicrobial protection to be awarded HACCP International Certification, to provide an important extra level of defense against cross-contamination.
This thermometer is great for checking the temperature on foods, but it is also waterproof and dishwasher safe, and with its maximum hold button, you can check the maximum reading and compare to the current reading. These features mean that you can use this thermometer to check the final rinse temperature in a commercial dishwasher and ensure that it passes the minimum temperature requirements. A convenient data hold function allows you to temporarily store a particular temperature reading at the press of a button. To save power this thermometer has a 35 minute auto off feature. It has a blue finish with a protective stem cover and pocket clip.

Water-proof, accurate, and indispensable. If you are not cooking meat with a thermometer you are likely spending too much though guessing! This instant read thermometer takes about 2 seconds to accurately measure temperature and then you can be assured your meats are cooked to order. While this is thinner and lighter than a previous model I accidentally burned, this model seems to be much more water-proof holding up very well after multiple dish-washer cycles!
This thermometer is very nice..I just got them in last week. The health department told me that I needed waterproof thermometer to take the dishwasher temperture.
