water will get into thermometer compartment and is impossible to get out. after a month or two, the water trapped inside starts to turn brown (probably mold) and may not be safe to continue using. these should be water tight, but they aren't. in the photo, the thermometer looks dirty, but it isn't.. the dirt/grime is all trapped inside

Seems to vary too much from accuracy even after continued calibration. Glass covering gets very cloudy with continued use.

Bought two and both were broken, it was far lower than the actual temperature. I put 5 separate thermometers in the same place and this one was far lower then the others

Never seemed to read correctly since I got it. Here it is reading low compared to the shorter version. None seem to read what my digital ones do.

Works great for when I'm steaming milk for my coffees.

I absolutely love these thermometers. they are easy to clean and the ease of having the clip to attach it to our frothing pitchers make it safer for our baristas to make drinks.

My only complaint with this 8-in hot beverage thermometer is it's a little bit too long for the types of kettles and cups I use. It appears there's a metal clip that's supposed to be able to be lowered to adjust the height to fit whatever cup or kettle you're using however for the life of me I've been unable to figure out how to adjust it. Other than that it has a very accurate reading and a large easy to read face.

a great tool for any barista or cafe or even kitchens in general since its a need to have a good and accurate way to keep track of the temperature

Good size, slightly longer reach than pocket size but not too cumbersome. Medium size, I would like to point out it takes a while to reach temperature reading.

In the past, I ordered too large of a frothing thermometer but this one is perfect for a 20 oz or larger frothing pitcher. I re calibrate with iced water every morning.
