Only started using a couple weeks ago and non-stick coating is already coming off. You can see it when you scoop the vanilla ice cream. Around the scoop edges and on the handle where the words are embossed. If I could do it over, I would choose the uncoated ones. We have followed all care directions. FYI. It does make a nice scoop, but should have gone with the uncoated.
