Since these are jumbo straws, does that mean that they will work well for slushies and other thicker drinks?  
Jumbo straws are best for pure liquid beverages such as water, juice, and soda. If you're looking for something for thicker drinks like slushies, smoothies, or milkshakes, our giant or super jumbo straws are just what you're looking for! Or, for your extra thick drinks, colossal straws are an excellent choice.
What is the difference between these types of straws?
Straws are available in a variety of diameters based on their intended purpose and function. Sip straws are approximately 1/8" in diameter and used for cocktails and sipping on hot drinks. Jumbo straws are often the standard size for various beverages and measure around 1/4”. Super jumbo straws are also around 1/4” in diameter and some even feature built-in spoons for thick drinks. Milkshakes and smoothies are great for drinking out of Giant straws thanks to their 5/16" diameters, and Colossal straws at approximately 1/2" in diameter are perfect for frozen concoctions.

    These straws are of great quality, I just with they came in an eleven inch, or ten and a half inch size. Got them for my 20 oz drinks with dome lids but seem a bit too long.

    These straws are not what I was expecting when I ordered them. Unless you have a 44 oz cup, don't use these with any other size cup.

    Great straw!! Quality straws that are long enough are hard to come by. Thankfully, these are available! I would definitely order again. FYI - we also cut them for our smaller cups

    We use this for our 32 oz. PET cups. They stick out about 4 inches with the dome lid on. They’re great and the paper wrapper is at least biodegradable.

    The straws look good and are of good quality. The price is excellent and they are cleanly packaged. My only disappointment is that they are only jumbo in height not width.

    The quality of this product is good but I expected them to be wider, do not seem to be a jumbo straw, are more likely to a regular straw. I wanted to use them for smoothies.

    These are the perfect straws for food service. Since they're wrapped they automatically look more sanitary than if they weren't. The plastic is strong and doesn't crack.

    These are huuuuuge. They would be good for something like scorpion bowls or drinks at tiki bars but not good for anything else. Made a mistake when buying them.

    I like wrapped straws for sanitary purposes, so these straws fit right in to what is appropriate for my use. They are sturdy and just the right size for any length of cup or bottle. Great buy!!

    Don't make the mistake that I did. These are truly jumbo straws. I didn't pay attention to the 12 inch description. They are great straws, but they are too long for most cups.

    I thought these straws were going to jumbo (wide width) but are jumbo because they are super long! 12" so unless you are serving huge drinks I would stick with the 7 3/4" width

    This is a great straw for milkshakes. We make very thick shakes at our ice cream stand, and the wide mouth makes for easy drinking. Perfect length for larges.

    I got the twelve in straws for lemonade and Italian Sodas. I was giving a lady a straw and she went to do the usual banging it on the table to get it out of the wrapper, and she accidentally bent it! And to both of our surprise the straw was not broken at all! Very good product!
