Do not buy these. These are horrible for opening and shutting. Get the plastic ones. I had to throw some away because I couldn’t open it and they also get really gross looking.

We use these, mostly for powdered sugar, or an herb and spice blend that we make ourselves. These are great shakers easy to clean, high-quality and well worth the money. These are great for anyone that does funnel cakes or anything they need powdered sugar sprinkled on, or even a salt pepper spice blend.
I have had one of these (with a handle) for many years now. I was a little frustrated by how stiff the lid was to get off on this one... No worries about it coming loose on its own!
The aluminum shaker with a handle works, but it isn't as good as the stainless steel one. The aluminum is a bit dull, which isn't necessarily bad, but with a cheap-looking finish and a cheap feel to it, I wouldn't put it out where customers could use it. It feels thin enough that you could crush like a pop can. Putting a towel inside to wipe it felt like the sides were going to explode outward from the pressure of the towel. The handle is riveted through the shaker to the inside, and on mine, the bottom one is already loose causing the handle to jiggle.
