Very prone to chips due to air pockets in the actual clay. We've had about a 20% chip rate over just the first month of use--we are not rough on these plates at all as we are a medium/fine level dining restaurant. They do look stunning, but just not worth the investment.

This bowl is beautiful for presentation. But, also very easy to clean. Used it to make oatmeal and I was able to wash it out with minimal effort.
