Cardinal Detecto 8440 Details

Track physical growth from birth to the toddler years with the Cardinal Detecto 8440 baby / toddler digital pediatric scale. This scale includes a tray that's contoured to cradle a baby but that's removable so a toddler can stand on the platform directly. Its removable design also makes it easy to clean and can collapse for simple transport. The 1" high LCD display features a memory function to save the previous weight, along with the time and date of weighing, to make it easy to compare the current weight with the last measurement. This change of weight calculation is great for tracking the growth of a child and monitoring their physical percentiles. Because of its accuracy and versatility, the scale is perfect for use in medical clinics, hospitals, and doctors' offices.

Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (sold separately) and an included 3V lithium back-up battery for memory, the scale is ideal for on-the-go use. It even features a low battery indicator, which alerts the user when to replace the batteries. To help preserve battery life, the scale slips into sleep mode after inactivity. The time and date are still visible with the touch of a button, though.
