I love the size of this bowl! It is perfect for a reasonably-sized serving of pasta or salad. The rim is nice and wide, so is perfect for a piece of toast or a stack of crackers. However, be aware that the rim is not flat, but slightly concave, and is at such an angle that whatever you put there will slide into the bowl. I couldn't tell this from the description or picture, so was surprised when I got them. I would have liked it better if the rim hadn't been quite as sloped, but it is not a deal breaker for me. I still overall love these bowls! They are sturdy and have a nice weight. (Not too light, not too heavy.) I like the elegant style of the Tango Collection and highly recommend this set.
