It's made with high-quality North American 2-row malting barley that's carefully selected, germinated, and kilned. This malt is suitable for use in both dark and light styles to improve the overall character of the beer without affecting its color, aroma, or flavor. Though this product has the full glassiness typical of a caramel malt, it is much lower in fermentable sugars and can be used at a lower rate (1-5%) to increase body and mouthfeel compared to a caramel malt.

This malt has 6.5% moisture and a 75% yield on grind. It is not caramelized or roasted and yields an SRM of 1.5, so it will not contribute much color to your beer. It's perfect for use in commercial breweries and is available in a 50 lb. bulk bag to keep your operation well-stocked! To preserve this product's freshness and ensure the best flavor, it's recommended to store your malt in a low-humidity environment at temperatures under 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
