Beverage-Air UCR27HC-25 Details
Keep fresh ingredients and open food product chilled and close at hand thanks to this Beverage-Air UCR27HC-25 27" shallow depth glass door undercounter refrigerator. With its stainless steel side and top exterior and its corrosion-resistant aluminum interior, this refrigerator is durable enough to withstand daily use in your commercial kitchen. The 1/2" thick sub-top is specially designed for use under counters.
It features one glass, self-closing door with a 120 degree stay-open feature. The door is removable for cleaning or maintenance and includes a sturdy antimicrobial handle. Magnetic gaskets ensure a positive seal too, and a field-reversible design gives you the option to change the hinge side. Because it's glass, the door provides immediate visibility, as does the bright, LED lighting. These make product retrieval quick and easy throughout the day.
Inside, the unit includes 2 heavy-duty epoxy-coated wire shelves to help you maximize the 6.04 cu. ft. storage space. To help you monitor the refrigerator's performance throughout the day, an interior thermometer is standard.
This powerful 1/6 hp refrigeration system runs on eco-friendly R290 refrigerant to keep food at safe temperatures between 36 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. This specialized refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3, making it an environmentally-responsible choice for your business. An automatic, non-electric defrost also helps makes this unit more energy efficient and easy to maintain.
At the end of the day, this refrigerator is easy to move aside for service or cleaning; simply roll it away on its 6" casters. Since 2 casters include brakes, you can rest assured that it remains securely in place when in use. The unit requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.

I haven’t heard of R-290, R-600a, R-513a, or R-448A refrigerant before. What is it?
R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.
What does the “H” or “HC” mean in the newer Beverage-Air model numbers?
This is a representation that the unit is using a “Hydrocarbon” refrigerant. This would include both R290 and R600a refrigerants. They are being used as an eco-friendly refrigerant by Beverage-Air in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.
